Today I would like to take the time to honor Dred Scott. Dred Scott, an African Anerican man, sued for his freedom and lost. After taking lose after he lose he finally took his case to the U.S. Supreme Court and lost yet again. This is where the Dred Scott decision, slaves were property and therefore had no rights, was founded. Although Scott worked hard for the one thing he wanted, to be free, he died fighting for it.
"A man is a man, until that man finds a plan, a plan that makes that man, a new man." -Dres Scott
If I shall die before they wake, I pray the Lord my shades are safe.
