The design of each pair of Shades by C.Tate will challenge people to do bigger things than they normally would, make people aware about issues in society, and make people see the world a different way. Which is why the slogan for Shades by C.Tate is "What's Your Shade?". I often walk up to people and ask them "what's your shade" and they ask me what do I mean so I want to define the meaning. When I say "what's your shade" I mean who are you, what separates you from the rest of the world? Basically I'm challenging people to figure out who they are. With that being said, I'm also challenge people to learn to feel comfortable in there own skin and stop changing the way they are to please others. You are the way you are for a reason. Instead of trying to live up to one anthers expectations we should embrace the fact that everybody is different because if everybody was the same the world would be boring, so why belittle diversity? Exactly. J.Cole said it best when he said, "be you that's what it sounds b-u-tiful", or in other words, you're beautiful the way you are. I challenge you to start challenging others by asking them what's their shade, put them on the spot, make them think about who they are. I use the word challenge a lot, but that's because there is nothing more motivational than a challenge.
SN: There's a video on "What's Your Shade" on the video page of this website.
If I shall die before they wake, I pray the Lord my shades are safe.
